About Sinewave Audio

A production company that started by refusing to build cookie-cutter systems — and never stopped.

Our story

It started with one frustration.

Before Sinewave, Micah Dean worked in touring, live event production and audio system integration. Again and again he watched companies take a “cookie-cutter” approach that left clients frustrated, with needs nobody had addressed.

So in 1997 he started Sinewave Audio to do the opposite: custom audio system design built around each client’s specific needs, and their budget.

Organizations that trusted the Sinewave name kept asking for help with their events, so the company grew into live production. As it grew, it hired people with deep audio, video and lighting backgrounds. Today Sinewave runs two divisions out of Anderson — Live Events and Integrated Systems — with the same crew mentality in both.

Founder & President

Micah Dean

Leads sales and design for the Integrated Systems division

Micah founded Sinewave Audio in 1997 after years in touring, live event production and audio system integration — long enough to see too many “cookie-cutter” installs leave clients frustrated.

Because he still works live events, he designs from the operator’s side of the console. The goal isn’t a system that merely functions; it’s one that helps the person running it produce something excellent.

Off the clock: time with his wife and kids, boating and snowmobiling. Around the shop he’s the one to ask when your car is making a funny noise.

Ben Gale

Leads the Live Events division

Ben spent years on tour as a front-of-house engineer, monitor engineer, production manager and tour manager. He knows what it takes to bring the right people and gear together so a show goes smoothly.

Live events demand technicians who adapt fast. Ben keeps pushing his own technical skills with new technology, and expects his crew to do the same.

Away from shows he’s outside with his farm animals — or running ultramarathons.
